Our story began when our founder, Naseer, who was a taxi driver with another company, loved his job but was frustrated by the way the company treated him and the passengers. The shortcomings he witnessed became the foundation for our innovative startup.
He observed how the company:

- Charged the passengers unfairly and unpredictably
- Booked the drivers to the passengers who were very far away, wasting their time and fuel
- Didn’t value the drivers’ feedback, suggestions, or well-being
Naseer felt this was wrong and that the passengers and the drivers deserved better. He had a vision of creating a taxi service that would:
- Care about the passengers’ satisfaction, comfort, and safety
- Charge the passengers fairly and transparently
- Book the drivers to the passengers who were nearby, saving their time and fuel
- Value the drivers’ and passengers’ feedback, suggestions, and well-being.
That’s why he quit his job and started TappAXI, a startup with a passion for taxis and a mission to create positive changes in the industry.
With a background in IT, he developed our game-changing feature – the ‘PortBag feature’ – that connects you with your driver and lets you communicate with them easily.
